Sydney 2012 Day 1 Part 2

After eating lunch, we headed off to Wildlife Sydney... It was just located at the other end of darling harbour... we just need to cross a bridge... here are some beautiful scenery pictures taken while crossing the bridge...

Wildlife Sydney, Sydney Aquarium and the recently opened Madame Tussauds is just located next to each other... making it convenient if you purchase the multiple combo pass...

Multiple combo passes can be found on myfun.com.au... it includes attractions like Wildlife Sydney, Sydney Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, Sydney Tower Eye and Oceanworld Manly at discounted prices... definitely worth it if you are going to more than one attraction...

We bought the 3 attraction combo pass at the price of AUD58.50 and choose to go to Wildlife Sydney, Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Tower Eye...

Wildlife Sydney is a mini version of a zoo which is divided into sections such as butterfly tropics, wallaby cliffs, gumtree valley, daintree rainforest, night fall and so on... the animals are located according to where you can find them in the wild... its like a small exhibit which can be completed around 3 hours or so... 

The first section that we have to walk through is called the butterfly tropics... there are tanks of snakes and frogs and butterflies flying freely around you... As im not a big fan of anything under the bug category, I was trying my best to view it as fast as possible which explains the super random photos... haha...

The next section is the gumtree valley where you will find all the koalas... But apparently all of them back face the windows... so smart right -.-

At daintree rainforest, there are all kinds of tropical birds... and most importantly the super cute emu... he is so curious at everything...

On the way to the outback section, there were some huge ants and lizards on display...

Finally here comes the kangaroo!!!

Sydney 2012 Day 1 Part 1

3 days after my finals is the start of my 8 days graduation trip to Sydney and Melbourne... After a crazy night of house moving... my friend, Shan and I headed to the Brisbane domestic airport at 3am... 

Nothing is open and there is no one at the airport... 

Got so bored I took a picture of our luggages... the smaller one is mine =D

This is the first time I took virgin airline... Was really pleased with the service, although its a budget airline, there were screens on the back of the seats where we can enjoy foxtel channels. Watched Shaun the sheep the whole 2 hours flight...

And best of all, I get to watch the sunrise from an airplane!!! Pretty max!

It was around 7am when we reached Sydney... we had to wait another 4 hours for another friend who is flying in from Singapore to join us... so we took the airport link train to the international terminal...

Breakfast at the international terminal... red rooster... half a roast chicken...

The roasted vegetable tasted kind of weird and I hate peas!!! It somehow reminds me of airplane food haha...

After my friend arrived, we took the taxi to our hotel, Travelodge Wynyard Hotel... It is located very near to the Wynyard Station... though the rooms were abit old, it was still quite worth it for the price we paid...

After checking in, we took a cab down to darling harbour to this place called hurricane grill for pork ribs... highly recommended!!!

The damn nice pork ribs!!! 3 of us shared one whole rack of pork ribs which is filling enough for us...

We were seated outdoor and therefore had a great view of darling harbour...

Farewell 49A

As my lease is ending soon, I will need to move out of my apartment by the end of this week. Spent half a year in this small apartment... Kind of sad that I need to move out soon... Shall post some photos of my room before I start packing =)

The journey started with 2 big luggages (the big black one and the big red one).... the mini black one joined the family of luggages a few months ago when i spotted it and fell in love with it on the first sight ^^ (kate hill ribbon luggage)... and not forgetting my mom's brown bag that she left with me because she is too lazy to bring it back to sg -.-"'...

The set of keys to my apartments with alot of other random stuff... 

And of course the most important thing of all, my study table and my bed...

The bed is so big (double sized bed) and because there is only tiny me sleeping in the bed, so I usually only use up 3/4 of the bed and leave 1/4 to put my folded clothes that I washed... I love to fill my bed up with soft toys and pillows so that I will feel less insecure when sleeping... look rilakkuma is posing for the picture!!! =D

My study table is as messy as ever...Its the place where I spend most of my time rushing reports, listening to lecture recording and procrastinating haha... so I had to stick an extremely big planner on the wall so I could keep track of my assignment deadlines... 

My digital tv which I rarely on... 

My vain corner where I put all my vain stuff... my sun block, moisturizers, makeup bag, ear studs, hair bands and rubber bands...

My stack of notes and textbooks and my labcoats and lab goggles.... See how much notes I have... Im hardworking ^^V hehe

Lastly is my pink fluffy room slippers which keeps my feet warm through cold times...

Dear unit 49A, thank you for being my apartment... will miss you and rmb you always... >.<
ok... now time to pack up...

Exams ended!!!

Exams finally ended!!! Im happy and sad at the same time.... happy because I get to play and rest finally, sad because if I pass everything it marks the end of my study life and the start of my working life... 

It feels like yesterday that I just arrive in Brisbane... Its just too short and im reluctant to return to Singapore... I have to get used to a different lifestyle again...
Anyway Sydney and Melbourne trip in 7 days time!!!! =D excited!!!

Disappointed with myself...

Have been feeling really down these few days... have been questioning myself if im smart enough for uni? am i turning dumb? i have reached a stage where no matter how much effort i put in i wont get any results... i totally dont understand anything the lecturer teach nor anything my friend is saying... i will read the textbook until i get so frustrated i started crying, in fact i have nvr pass one day without crying... what am i to do?
